We’re a group of volunteers who are passionate about the Village of McLean. We always welcome new members who want to join us in fulfilling our mission: building community pride, attracting new residents and tourists, bolstering the local economy, and improving the lives of residents.

Established in 2011 through the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs MAPPING program, CORE (Community Organization for Revitalization and Expansion) of McLean is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community group made up of volunteers dedicated to helping McLean thrive.
CORE seeks to improve the quality of life for our residents and visitors. Through service to our community, we will enhance our assets, preserve our history, and advocate for growth of local businesses.
CORE is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community organization working to beautify McLean, build community pride, attract new residents and tourists, bolster the local economy, and improve the lives of residents. Our volunteers identify projects that improve the community and drive tourism. Volunteers plan projects, gather materials, execute projects, and maintain undertakings.
McLean is a vibrant community with many attractions and historical sites, and holds seasonal festivals, events, and activities for all ages. Visitors and residents alike enjoy easy access from the crossroads of I-55 and Route 136 to a variety of parks and modern health and recreational facilities. Tourists travel the Mother Road, Route 66, to visit McLean’s beautiful village square and rapidly growing business district with a variety of unique shops and a farmers’ market. A business-friendly community, McLean offers a variety of incentive programs to assist business owners in starting, relocating, or expanding a business in this idyllic village.
